25 years ago when I was asked what I wanted to be when I left school, I said a fighter pilot. When I actually left school 2 year later I took on a traineeship as a florist. 25 years ago the job (read company) I have now, didn’t exist.
Attending conferences can be expensive. Ticket prices in the thousands can easily make you question the value of attending. However, with the reality being that it takes an average of 12 times for someone to be in contact before they become a customer, meeting people in person, attending the right conference can be game changing for you.
Networking is important for business. This is something I learnt early on in my career. As a business owner since 2014 I’ve become acutely aware of it. However, as someone who is naturally shy, networking is not a skill that comes naturally.
